Wishlist: Eyeshadow Palettes

High End Palette Wishlist

I'm a big fan of eyeshadow palettes: I'd much rather purchase a palette of colours specifically chosen to compliment each other and to be worn together, than a bunch of random single shadows that may or may not work together because a) it's usually better value for money to buy a palette and b) palettes are so much more convenient!

With that in mind, I've compiled a wishlist of some of the higher end palettes that I've been lusting after for quite a while now. Without further ado, here they are:

1. Too Faced Chocolate Bar palette - (€63, Debenhams)
A compilation of sixteen cocoa-infused shadows, with a mixture of mattes and shimmers, warm and cool colours, the Too Faced Chocolate Bar palette is the most expensive on this list. I personally love how it includes a gorgeous baby pink and shimmery navy blue alongside a range of typical nude shades, providing more options and inspiration for the user.

2. Urban Decay Naked 2 palette - (€44, Debenhams)
Of course, I couldn't really make a palette wishlist without including a Naked one, now could I? Out of all three of the Naked series, Naked 2 has always been my preference - it's a compilation of taupe and greige hued neutrals, with an intensely pigmented matte black. Naked 1 has bronze hued neutrals, and Naked 3's are rose hued, for those curious about the difference! With the Naked 2 palette, you get a mixture of 12 shadows, including both mattes and shimmers, and a duo-ended brush as a little bonus!

3. Stila In The Light palette - (€32.50, FeelUnique)
The In The Light palette from Stila has ten shades, from pale highlighters, to deep browns, grey-blues and a black. I really like the choice of shades here, because you could easily create a soft, brown smokey eye for day wear, and a darker, more dramatic grey smokey eye for night. Talk about value for money!

4. TheBalm Nude'tude 'Naughty' palette - (€34.45, FeelUnique)
Another twelve shadow palette, with an interesting mix of mattes and shimmers, as well as cool toned taupes and greiges, a pretty champagne colour, and a shimmery pink. Not to mention, a gorgeous deep cranberry! Again, this Nude'tude palette from theBalm can be used to create multiple different looks for every kind of occasion.

5. Benefit World's Most Glamorous Nudes palette - (€34.50, Debenhams)
Finally, the least 'value for money' palette in the line-up is this gorgeous Benefit offering, from their World Famous Neutrals collection. The 'World's Most Glamorous Nudes' includes six shades: three different bronze hues, a pale highlighter, shimmering champagne and a pretty pink. Benefit also include a handy little 'Tips and Tricks' booklet, instructing on how to get the most out of their selection of shadows. Also, can we talk about how fabulous their packaging is?!
