Urban Decay Naked On The Run Palette

12:52

I celebrated my 20th birthday recently (yikes) and was fortunate enough to get the gorgeous Urban Decay Naked On The Run palette as a present from my (fairy) godmother. I'll probably review each of the products inside individually later on, but today I wanted to give you all a little preview of just how gorgeous this palette is.

Naked On The Run is housed in a pretty rose gold case, with a magnetic lid - sturdy and strong enough to take anywhere with you, without fear of damaging it. Inside you've got a wonderfully big mirror and a gorgeous array of products. The intention is that you can take this palette with you wherever you go, instead of a huge makeup bag of products, and always have enough to create a full face (minus foundation and concealer). I think it's a really cool idea, and the products inside compliment each other wonderfully. Now what's inside?

First up, we have the Perversion mascara, encased in a sleek black and purple tube (it actually feels quite tiny). The brush is a pretty standard spiral shaped brush, with bristles - but I much prefer these to those fiddly plastic ones any day.

Also included is a full-size 24/7 Glide On Eye Pencil - these were a pretty big hit in the blogging world last year, and I was pretty excited to try it out. The shade included is Stag, which isn't entirely black - it has a slight brown undertone, with a tiny hint of sparkle, which is interesting. I couldn't believe just how creamy this pencil was - I'm usually not a fan of pencil eyeliners, but this is an absolute dream to apply and blend, especially along the lash line.

And then we have an exclusive lipgloss from the Naked line - Sesso is described as a 'rose with pink shimmer'. It's a gorgeous everyday shade that works well both on its own, and over nude lipstick.

The eyeshadows are probably my favourite part of this, thus far: all five shades are exclusive to the palette, and new to Urban Decay. In the line-up you have (from bottom to top in the swatches photo): Dive, a 'metallic rose with golden microshimmer'; Fix, a 'soft matte taupe'; Resist, a 'medium metallic taupe'; Dare, a 'medium matte brown' and Stun, a 'metallic bronze with a light gold microshimmer'. Also included is a gorgeous multi-tasking shade, 5050, a pale, creamy highlight which can be used both on the eyes and the cheekbones. Each shade is beautifully pigmented, really soft and easy to blend.

Finally, we've got the bronzer/blusher/highlighter combo - I've actually yet to give these a proper go, but I'm pretty excited to try them out.

And there you have it - the full Naked On The Run palette from Urban Decay. Pick it up at Debenhams here. Quite a beauty, isn't it?
