PODCAST | A New Era for the Irish Language

19:44

The Irish language has always been very close to my heart. It was love at first focal from a young age, and it has always played an important role in my life - and will in my future.

This semester, I got to work on my first radio documentary, and on a topic of my choosing. Having been involved in Conradh na Gaeilge, and especially Raidió Rí-Ra, for well over a year, it was extra special to be able to create a documentary on the work of the organisation, and the new age of the language.

Thit mé i ngrá leis an teanga Ghaeilge nuair a bhí mé an-óg. Tá ról an-tábhachtach ag an teanga i mo shaol fós, go pearsanta agus go proifisiúnta - agus tá súil agam go mbeidh, as seo amach.

Nuair a bhí deis agam mo chéad clár fáisnéise raidió a dhéanamh an seimeastar seo, bheartaigh mé é a dhéanamh ar an teanga Gaeilge, obair Chonradh na Gaeilge, agus an 'ré nua' don theanga. Tar éis cúpla mhí caite ag suí taobh thiar den micreafóin, agus ansin os comhair an ríomhaire, táim an-sásta leis na torthaí. Is féidir libh éisteacht leis an chlár fáisnéise ar fad ar Soundcloud thíos.

Ba mhaith liom buíochas a ghabháil as gach duine a ghlac páirt sa chlár, agus a thug cabhair dom i rith an bpróiséas chomh maith.
